Abstract: Air compressor is an important device to run the process of getting raw materials from the air in the ammonia (NH3) plant. In order to avoid the equipments of air compressor breakdown, it is necessary to develop appropriate maintenance strategy. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is one of the methods that used to develop and refine maintenance programs. RCM contains strategies to maintain failure, one of them is predictive maintenance (condition monitoring tasks), a scheduled task used to detect the onset of a failure so that action can be taken to prevent the functional failure. A potential failure (P-F) is an identifiable condition that indicates that a functional failure is either about to occur or in the process of occurring. This research introduces the method to P-F time of occurring estimation on air compressor by statistical analysis of history data that necessary to determine maintenance schedules.
