Car cabin interior vibration and acoustical comfort are always being considered by consumers when purchasing a vehicle. Vehicles with high vibration and discomfort due to poor acoustical environment will influence the flexibility of the driver. The noise produced by the car system can cause hearing impairment, hypertension, annoyance, and sometimes decrease the driving focus resulting in accidents. Since vibration is the main contributor of noise, a study has been carried out to determine the optimal vibration dose value (VDV) in order to have better vehicle acoustical comfort index (VACI) in passenger car cabin. The results of the study can provide a mathematical model to find the optimal vibration dose value in order to get better vehicle acoustical comfort index measurements by satisfying all of the equations and constraints which have been identified based on the characteristics of the noise and vibration. By using the model, automotive researchers will be able to make a benchmark for vibration dose value in order to get better vehicle acoustical comfort index in the passenger car cabin.en_US
