The world production of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) waste is constantly increasing. It contains 10-25% copper with other metals such as lead, zinc, iron, tin, nickel etc, depending on the source and types of PCB. Copper is one of the most used heavy metal in electric and electronic industries. It is valuable metal and as well as toxic also. Therefore, recycling of copper from PCB waste is an important subject not only from the point of waste treatment but also from the aspect of valuable metal recovery. Our approach is to find out a new leaching reagent which has high selectivity for the recovery of copper from PCB.
