Study of surface roughness during droplet impact on a heated aluminium is to look into the effect of droplet impact on surface roughness after the droplet impinged on the hot surface. The primary problem with this task is that there is no data in regards to surface roughness analysis change of a material when exposed to high temperature, high-pressure and high altitude. Likewise, there are no data with respect to surface roughness change after the droplet impact on the hot surface analysis. As an initiative this experimental study was founded along the approximation that the surface roughness will give an effect to the structural performance when the surface material was exposed to high pressure and high temperature. Thus, it is presumed that the surface roughness change can influence the quality of the completed material in the aerospace industries, material manufacturing process and reactor cooling performance. The main objective of this project is to study the surface roughness of material at different surface temperature and relationship between temperatures at high and low temperature. This experiment utilized Aluminium and the material will place on the hot plate. The droplet of the water will be release from the dropper at the material when heated to three different temperature 100°C, 200°C and 300°C. The experiment was done to investigate the droplet impact of the microstructure condition of the surface roughness of the material when liquid-solid contact at three different surface temperatures which is 100, 200 and 300 °C. The result can be concluded that the surface roughness reading of a material will show a small reduction from its original reading if a liquid-solid contact occurs on the hot surface. From the experiment result, it can be concluded that the water droplet test on the material can affect the surface roughness of the material so that be considered as the one of the important analysis in mechanical, manufacturing and aerospace industries.en_US
