Thermal pad is new technology in the world that been used in PLCC in order to reduce junction temperature to the minimum level in electronic components. Thermal Pad was made by using nano-silver as main material. Nano-silver silica films were applied on PLCC using a sol-gel process and heat-treated at different temperatures. In electronic industry, the electronic components that exceed 70°C will malfunction and damage due to the overheated. The design is used nano-silver as main material in thermo pad because it has high value of thermal conductivity and enables to dissipate heat very efficiently. The advantages of this product are enables to reduce junction temperature of PLCC 20-30%. It also had constant thickness in order to get accurate results. It was a new technology that been applied in electronic industry in order to reduce the temperature of the electronic components.

This paper presents theoretical and experimental research works on the effect of aluminium heat sink and heat dissipation in a portable thermoelectric (TE) cooling system. In this study, three units of TE modules were utilized with an inputs of 3 A and 8 V. The aluminium heat sink was used to spread the heat generated by TE modules through its fins and surface area. The cold temperature was spread through by an aluminium cold sink with direct blow to the cooling space. The air flow rate was
accelerated by the use of centrifugal blower on both sides of the heat dissipation system. The temperature of the cooling space caused was examined. The performance of TE module with the utilization of hot and cold sinks has shown that a greater heat dissipation rate was achieved.

Rapid increasing of industrialization and motorization has led arising of petroleum and energy demand. This pursue a new energy blends to cater the depletion of fossil fuel and the environmental degradation condition. Malaysia is blessed, which has suitable climate to plant alternative fuel (palm oil) and become one of the largest exporters to the world. Palm oil in its refined form as cooking oil has high energy content which can be adopted as an alternative to the petroleum based fuel. This paper evaluates the performance and emission characteristics of refined palm oil (RPO) as a fuel to the diesel engine. Palm oil and its blends composition with 20%, 40%, 60% as well as pure palm oil (100%) and diesel were tested separately under various engine loads. Five series of tests data on each type of fuel were analyzed and compared. Moreover, by increasing the percentage of RPO in blends would lead a character of higher percentage in density and viscosity. Studied revealed that the small percentage of RPO composition promises a good thermal efficiency together with the emission released.

The study presented in this paper is focused on the effect of surfaces roughness of pure aluminium A1100 on the cold work extrusion process by three different angles of taper die. Different angles of taper die will affect the surface roughness of the workpiece. To protect the surface and to reduce friction, lubricants are often used in extrusion process [1]. Different lubricants may have different optimum taper die angle that are suitable to be applied. Two types of materials used in this experiment are steel SKD 11 for taper die and aluminium A1100 for workpiece and different angles applied are 30°, 45°, and 60°. Moreover, with respect to each angle, three different types of lubricants were used which are Daphne Draw S Series, Palm Olein, and EFB bio oil. The Universal Testing Machine and Surface Roughness Tester were used in this experiment. The result obtained from the experiment shows that at 30° of taper die angle were producing the smooth product surfaces for each lubricant and Daphne Draw S Series could reduce the surface roughness compared to other lubricant test.
