Abstract: Microstrip stop-band filters based on complementary split ring resonators has been proposed in this project. Two shapes (circle and square) of SRRs have been investigated to come out device which is designed to suppress frequency 2.4-2.48 GHz (with a center frequency of 2.45 GHz) and the frequency spectrum between 5-6 GHz. The combinational design of each shape which is able to suppress is then fabricated in UniMAP fabrication lab and measured using Agilent PNA Series Network Analyzer and coaxial wire. Comparison of simulation and measurement results of circle SRRs is done and it is observed that good frequency selectivity is obtained around the design frequency 2.45 GHz and produce slightly deeper rejection at 5-6 GHz compare to simulation results. Both results show significant insertion loss (<30dB).
