Abstract: TB_Screen is an intelligent tuberculosis screening system that could be used to detect the present of tuberculasis bacilli in a Ziehl-Neelsen smear slide. It consists of automatic image processing algorithms to extract some useful features from Ziehi-Neelsen smear slide images and use the features to automatically detect the present of tuberculosis (TB) becilli using artifical intelligent technique.
Description: Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd Yusoff Mashor and his team won bronze for TB_Screen - An Intelligent Tuberculosis Screening System at 17th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2006, 19th - 21st May 2006 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), Kuala Lumpur.
