Abstract: This final year project is about “Performing a Single Phase Full-Wave with one Thyristor”. To complete this thesis full understanding and knowledge about the principal operation is important, start with the analysis circuit and done the literature review study. After go through the software simulation and hardware development phase, perform the waveform output needed and measured the content of harmonic with resistive load and resistive-inductive (R-L) load. Due to the widespread proliferation of power electronic controlled devices nowadays, the problems caused by harmonics are of increasing importance. Power electronic loads offer a number of advantages in controlling power flow and in efficiency, but they perform this by chopping, flatting, or shaping sinusoidal voltages and currents.
