Abstract: Human motion analysis via computer vision is an important aspect in a wide range of application; ranging from human-computer interaction (HCI) to ergonomics and biomechanics. This paper presents an overview of all processes involved in human motion analysis using computer vision-namely experimental protocol, data acquisition, data analysis and modeling. The posture adopted by the body during lifting task is thought to have a profound impact on low back. Otherwise, alteration of muscle pattern and biomechanical loads may show significant effects on human posture. The focus is on human posture modeling using motion analysis for lifting task will be investigated.
